rawhide
i love cowhide rugs and i don't know why. i'm not a cowboy, a hunter, or really into animal carcasses (yes, i eat meat...don't hate). ikea has come out with their own and i've seen them in person and they have a wide range of hides, besides what they show on the website; they are too expensive and you'll find better pricing at ebay.com.
buffalo soldier
LL Bean has been my new favorite place since last winter...they sell duck boots! do you know how useful these are during winter!?
*side note: i fell on ice, onto my butt, about a 100 times during my first northeast pa (nepa) winter*

the bean is starting to come out with their new fall/winter home stuff, and i love everything flannel or jersey during those cold short months. check out their buffalo plaid flannel comforters in 5 different colors and only from $89-119.and did i mention you can customize the inside, to whatever color they have?
tufted ordeal
i like to have my head against something when i'm lying in bed and reading before i go to sleep. i've been wanting a tufted headboard for a while and they can run from mid 300's to the 1000's, depending upon fabric, size, yada yada.
Charissa a loyal follower of apartment therapy submitted this project that she accomplished with great results and the best part, it only cost 110 dollars. she gives you step by step instructions to pull this off. don't like tufted headboards? do all these steps, except the 7-9.
FYI, you could probably make a small under the table gig with this...

butterflies
i hate to say it, but urban outfitters got it right with this chair. its clean, classic and still has that worn-in look i like to see with leather items.

trunk show
searching for wooden trunks, i found out how expensive they are. brettunsvillage.com from auburn maine, have "as is" trunks, that are way below the average cost of 400-500. as well as instructions on "how to" refinish trunks yourself, and cool leather handles and straps.
decoy
goantiques.com has a lot of crap dejour, so you have to look carefully and basically exactly know what you are looking for, otherwise you could be paying more than what the item(s) are worth.
i love the fact that they have folk art, which to me is hard to find on the web.
this fat angry man tooth pick holder defintaly will be bought by me in the near future and although the duck decoys are awesome, they are too much money. with duck decoys, the more ornate and actually used they are, the more they are worth (thank you antiques road show).
poop deck
brass binnacle has all sorts of odds and ends for a nautical themed room. i enjoyed these three the most, with the harpoon second after the moby dick.

rim style knob
painting my kitchen cabinets white and putting some hardware on too, just to make the little crap kitchen i have look a little better. whitechapel, ltd. has all different kinds of knobs and pulls for everything in your house. i am going with the two options below for my kitchen cabinets.
factory outlet
factory 20 finds vintage oddities that normally probably wouldn't sell at a yard sale, but somehow they have made a business selling stuff, that is old and moldy for a pretty penny. they have great photographers that actually make you think that this stuff is worth the money.

gone with the wind
i always love to have at least 2 throw/blankets in the living room during winter. the civil war blankets from woolrich have me salivating. these are replicas of the blankets that woolrich made for the different infantries during the civil war.
the only problem is i can't decide on a color.

ikat get enough
i can't get enough of the ikat pattern, whether its on fabric for furniture or in a piece of china. these bowls from anthro will jazz up the china that i have received perfectly from kate spade.
lighthouse
designers always say lighting makes a room and rejuvenation does that. not too high brow, so its affordable. you can also customize the finish and even the light bulb you want it wired for.
alas, i still can only afford the kroby pendant lamp from ikea for my kitchen revamp.
bone and horn
i've been in love w/ horn and bone silverware, and now they are making a revival since the victorian period. horchow has the ones that i like the most.
if you're a diy'er make your own horn cups with these directions on the link.

cabela's
i am not into fashion at all, unless you call jcrew fashion. none-the-less i love these men's cabela's brand vests. it's kinda everything you would need for fall nights and winter days, with its northern goose-down fill. And yes, small will fit the ladies.
laundry
your dirty laundry will look good in this industrial canvas basket.
Steele Canvas makes all sizes and shapes to fit even small apartments.

live wire
for nature lovers, it doesn't get more simple than live wire farm. if you want hooks, rings, honey or electrical fencing, well you're in luck. Check out the Timber site for all the natural home goods you crave.
ebay
i have been on ebay everyday for the last month. i am trying to find those diamonds in the ruff.
a couple of months ago, i got this painting for steal, since the highest bidder backed out and i offered even lower than what i initially bid (that's kinda my thing now, waiting until auctions are over and emailing the seller to see if they will take less than what they have the limit at).

nice nautical
i am redoing my apartment for the winter, and since i was suppose to move to a cute little lake house and be happily ever after, i decided that it can still happen right in philly too!
i am going to make blues, browns and grays my primary colors in my apartment, since those are my favorite colors, and i have been obsessed with maine the last 6 months. below is one of my inspirations that has me excited about getting this all done by the end of september.
thomas paul has made these great jute pillows that i want to snatch up ($70-80 a piece).
